Re: Program theme and the change of preparatory schedule for the candidate
selection for Ex-Ren OPY Planning Committee for the 21st Century
Renaissance Youth Leaders Invitation Program 2005
Dear all the ex-participants of the Ren01/02/03/04,
This is to announce that the program theme has set and there are some
changes for the preparatory schedule for the selection of the ex-Ren
OPY planning committee.
1. Program theme -> http://www.iyeo.or.jp/Ren/index-e1.htm
Towards Further Global Harmonization
- Initiation of social contribution activities from this encounter -¡¡
The development of information technology and modern
transportation systems has made this world more and more
borderless. Sending and receiving information has become
easier and cooperative activities and communications have
been positively carried out beyond national borders.
Amidst the improvement in the area of international cooperation
resulting from this development, however, the concept of
global harmonization based on respect and mutual understanding
for each other does not seem to have necessarily been pervaded.
This program, hence, shall start by sharing a common
recognition about the concept of global harmonization
among the participants from 21 different countries belonging
to the Alumni Associations that work on the social contribution
activities. It will then provide them with the opportunities to
widen their perspectives and knowledge about the effective
utilization of information as well as to develop their practical
skills to promote activities. Through these, it aims to inspire
the participants to initiate activities towards further global
harmonization either by each of them as an individual,
groups or other organizations, being more conscious of how
these activities can make a social impact or influence.
